Sometimes, you find yourself in a crisis situation; you've temporarily lost your job, a family illness or an unexpected event has put your mortgage payments in jeopardy. There are ways to keep you in your home. It starts with NeDA's Home Ownership Counseling services.

What you can expect

Our goal is to help families with realistic options to prevent foreclosure whenever possible.  We can be your advocate by contacting the mortgage company and finding out what options are available to you.  We will clearly explain to you the steps involved in foreclosure.  We will provide financial counseling and give you realistic options.  We will assist you financially if resources are available. As part of a larger network of Foreclosure Prevention programs, NeDA can refer you to the appropriate organization in your area. Here's a resource for those programs.

Who we are

NeDA’s staff is certified through the Minnesota Foreclosure Prevention Program to provide counseling to individuals who are delinquent with their mortgage payments.  We ask that you call us right away, the longer you wait the fewer options you may have.
