NeDA is proposing to build 8 ownership townhomes for families between 80% and 115% of median income.  LHB, Inc. will provide the design of the townhomes, which will have three bedrooms with a unit size averaging 1,350 sq ft.  The units will be slab on grade, with shed roofs, one-car detached garage.  We also plan to use durable exterior materials such as: brick facing, stucco, or fiber cement to add long-term sustainability.  LEED standards will be followed in the construction for a goal of achieving LEED certification.

The proposed development is a response to the Stryker-George Precinct Plan sponsored by the West Side Citizens Organization (WSCO).  The Stryker-George Precinct Plan can be viewed on the City of St. Paul's web page.

The project design will be compatible with the commercial/residential corridor. NeDA will also seek additional investment dollars for the surrounding neighborhood (both for home rehab loans and commercial facade improvement). In addition, NeDA will establish a homeowner association that will insure long-term ownership.
