Financial Literacy Workshop

NeDA's financial literacy workshops promote financial wellness.  In our workshops we cover information on: 1) Credit unions and banks; 2) Taxes and record keeping; 3) Credit cards and loans 4) Credit bureaus and reports 5) Savings and investing operations.  The workshops also discuss: 1) Debt as a wealth-stripping practice, and best ways to get out of debt;  2) Risk as a wealth-stripping practice, and using insurance to reduce risk;  3) Consumer fraud as a wealth-stripping practice, and how to protect yourself;  4) Marketing and advertising as wealth-stripping, and how to (identify and) minimize wants versus needs.    The workshops are offered at no cost.  Participants who complete the workshop will receive a Certificate of Completion, which may allow for additional benefits.
